Literature Text

There was an old lady who lived in a flat,
She had no one in this world except for her cat.

Unfortunately, as is the case with some old folk,
One gray dismal morning she experienced a stroke.

She lay helpless and dying outstretched on the floor,
But the neighbors didn't notice behind her closed door.

They did begin to percieve a smell,
It was somewhat unpleasant, but they still didn't tell.

They finally got help when the stench made them ill,
The odor was akin to week-old roadkill.

When they reached her she was alive, thank goodness for that.
But the stench was her leg being eaten by the cat.
Here is a nursery rhyme type poem that I want to turn into a comic strip. I got the story from my mom and the idea to make it a poem from Roman Dirge's comics.

Also, I am not a poet or a good writer of any kind.
